A lady hospital employee in Tondo, Manila, was tragically run over by a truck.

According to barangay officials, the victim was riding on the back of a motorcycle driven by her husband as they were heading home.

In a report by Jhomer Apresto of GMA 7's '24-Oras, the victim's husband explained that he hesitated when another motorcycle approached from Katuparan Street, causing him to stop suddenly, which led to them falling onto the ground.

Meanwhile, the truck driver fled the scene, and authorities are working with nearby barangays to gather additional CCTV footage to identify the suspect.

Once arrested, the truck driver will face reckless driving, resulting in homicide, physical injury, and damage to property.
