A 15-year-old girl from Davao del Sur was brutally attacked by her own father with a machete.

Investigations revealed that the suspect was intoxicated at the time of the incident.

In a report by Frontline Pilipinas, authorities reported that he committed the heinous act out of intense anger, allegedly because his wife, who works overseas, had stopped communicating with him.

The father was later arrested, and the victim's mother is set to return home, reportedly determined to press charges against her husband.
