According to Police Major Knowme Sia, when SOCO turned over the woman's phone, the phone had received a text saying, 'Goodbye.'

When the man was brought over to the police station, it was confirmed he was the one the security guard saw near the crime.

The mother of the woman emotionally told GMA that she hoped the suspect would have just split with her daughter amicably instead.
