In the exclusive report of 24 Oras of GMA News, the National Bureau of Investigation-National Capital Region (NBI-NCR) revealed the results of the autopsy on her body, signifying that she died a painful death.

“The conduct was done with the Tuba, Benguet police, the DNA matched doon sa samples, reference materials taken from the parents of victim, Irene Melican. Nagkaroon kami ng closure na ito talaga ang taong hinahanap namin (we had closure that this was exactly the person we were looking for) who was earlier kidnapped by her boyfriend,” said NBI-NCR Regional Director Ferdinand Lavin.

“She died of traumatic blunt injuries to the chest and the neck. Further, NBI was able to establish that she had broken ribs to the left side of the body. She suffered a very painful death," he added.

It can be recalled that her 38-year-old boyfriend was arrested in July.

Traingulo in Naga City going to their neighbors’ houses that have third floors. According to one resident, they helped some of their neighbors by inviting them to stay in the third floor of their house. Floodwaters brought about by Typhoon Kristine have submerged the second floor of some of the houses in Albay.
