An SUV unexpectedly accelerated, veering into another lane and crashing into seven vehicles in Malasiqui, Pangasinan.

Tragically, one tricycle driver lost their life in the accident.

According to GMA News, the driver, a senior citizen, explained to authorities that his foot "froze" on the accelerator, causing the SUV to speed up uncontrollably.

He has since been detained and faces multiple charges related to the incident.
