A married couple in the Philippines was recently arrested together after failing to pay Php 280,000 worth of food from various online sellers.

In the report of News 5's Frontline Pilipinas, they included a video of the man pleading that his wife had nothing to do with the scamming.

"Sir, pinasama ko lang yung misis ko kanina. Hindi po siya kasali dito, sir. Sir, please lang, sir!" the man pleaded for his wife, Alexa, in the video.

The couple was arrested at Barangay Mabolo in Cebu City after the couple was reported of fraud.

Apparently, the couple ordered food worth thousands of pesos and would provide a fake screenshot of a proof of payment to the sellers.

One of their victims, Fe Canion, a dessert seller, was also interviewed by Frontline Pilipinas.

"Ang dahilan nila tsaka na raw sila magbabayad once na makuha na nila yung pera na 700,000 pesos," Fe told News 5's Frontline Pilipinas.
