Sen. Bato dela Rosa rejected calls for him and Sen. Bong Go to take an indefinite leave when the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee will start its investigation of former President Rodrigo Duterte's war on dr*gs.

On Tuesday, the senator made a categorical statement about the proposal, and stated that he will not do such a thing because he wanted to confront liars.

“No! I have to confront the liars because the public deserves to know the truth,” Dela Rosa stated in Politiko's report.

It was Akbayan Rep. Perci Cendeña who called for both Go and Dela Rosa to abstain from the hearing.

“Senators Go and Dela Rosa can’t be allowed to judge the very bloodstains on their hands," Cendeña said.

The Congressoinal Quad Committee is comprised of four separate committees and is investigating various issues like POGO, drugs, and extra judicial killings.

Later on during the hearing, Espinosa broke down during a congressional hearing. He appeared as a resource person at the Congressional Quad Committee, which investigates the proliferation of POGO, drugs, and extra-judicial killings. t one point, Congresswoman Gerville “Jinky Bitrics” Luistro asked him what would he say if his father, the late Mayor Rolando Espinosa, is listening.
