Emergency responders in Albay, as well as guards and personnel of the Albay Electric Cooperative, Inc. (ALECO), could only scratch their heads after panicking over what they thought was a medical emergency.
In a report by GMA News, it said that ALECO guards and personnel said they noticed a car was not moving in the line of cars queuing for payment at the company’s drive thru payment facility.
They then surrounded the vehicle and noticed that the driver appeared to be unconscious.
They then tried to rouse the driver of the car by furiously knocking on the windows and doors of the vehicle.

Failing to rouse the driver inside a locked vehicle, they called Legazpi 911 and summoned emergency responders.
A few moments later, an ambulance arrived with the emergency responders, who tried to shake the vehicle.
It was at this point that witnesses and responders thought the man inside the car encountered a medical emergency or worst, died while queuing for payment.
After about 30 minutes, however, they were surprised to see the man inside the car suddenly sat straight and looked around him, perhaps even wondering why people were surrounding his vehicle.
It turned out that the man decided to doze off while waiting for his turn in the queue, but apparently fell into a deep sleep.
Instead of getting exasperated by what turned out to be a hilarious situation, medical responders and witnesses expressed their gratitude that no harm came to the driver.
ALECO decided not to release the name of the man anymore but instead, issued some guidelines for those using their drive-thru payment facility.
“Para maiwasan ang mahabang pila sa drive-thru lalo na kung ikaw ay pagod o gutom, puwedeng magbayad gamit ang aming mga payment partner. Kung ikaw ay pagod o gutom, magdala ng kasama upang matiyak na ang pila ay binabantayan at ligtas sa sasakyan,” ALECO said.
News, photos or videos that arouse the interest of netizens would often go viral on social media, due to the attention netizens give them. These viral posts appeal to the emotions of netizens, and in rare cases, such could also happen to ordinary people, making them very relatable.
