Senator Alan Peter Cayetano and Senator Migue Zubiri’s video showing the two engaged in a heated exchange to the point of getting physical with each other at the Senate floor has gone viral.

According Bilyonaryo News Channel, which uploaded the said video, the confrontation happened Tuesday, September 24, though there was no mention as to the time it occurred.
In the video, one can see the two legislators shouting and pointing at each other.
“Wag mo akong sigawan,” Sen. Cayetano said in a loud voice pointing at Sen. Zubiri.

At this point, Sen. Zubiri walked toward Sen. Cayetano demanding what he wants.
“Ano’ng gusto mo?” Sen. Zubiri said.
“Ano’ng gusto mo?” Sen. Cayetano retorted.
After saying it, Sen. Cayetano put down the phone he’s holding and assumed a fighting stance.
“Oh, ano’ng gusto mo? Oh?” Sen. Cayetano said.
At this point, Sen. JV Ejercito, who was standing in the middle came between the two legislators before they could pull punches at each other.
“Put***ina, sindak ka nang sindak dito eh,” Sen. Cayetano further said in a loud voice, while Sen. Zubiri answers back: “Ano’ng sindak nang sindak?”
"Bakit sisigawan mo ako? Ano’ng pakialam mo? Wala ka namang pakialam sa boboto dun eh!” Sen. Cayetano said, still in a loud voice.
At this point, Sen. Pia Cayetano and an unidentified person wearing a suit, came between all of them and tried to pacify the two legislators.
Earlier, Sen. Zubiri questioned what he said was appeared to be a “rapid approval process” of an urgent resolution filed by Sen. Cayetano.
Alan Peter Cayetano is a Pinoy lawyer, diplomat, and legislator who is currently serving as a Senator after winning a fresh mandate in 2022. He also served as the Senate Minority Leader from 2010 to 2013, and then later as Senate Majority Leader from 2013 to 2016. He served as Secretary of Foreign Affairs from 2017 to 2018. He later ran for congressman and served as Speaker of the House of Representatives and in 2022, won a fresh mandate as Senator of the Philippines.

Sen. Maj. Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri has urged incoming neophyte senator Robin Padilla to study well. He advised Padilla to study the Constitution, the legal terminologies, since he wants to head the Committee on Constitutional Amendments. He also added that Padilla must understand revision of laws, along with issues that touch upon criminal and/or corporate law.
