- Sen. Maj. Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri has urged incoming neophyte senator Robin Padilla to study well

- He advised Padilla to study the Constitution, the legal terminologies, since he wants to head the Committee on Constitutional Amendments

- He also added that Padilla must understand revision of laws, along with issues that touch upon criminal and/or corporate law

- Zubiri admitted that no one else wanted to head the said committee and Padilla could very well end up being the chairperson

Sen. Maj. Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri has advised Robin Padilla that he must study legal terminologies, along with the Constitution, considering that he is eyeing to chair the Committee on Constitutional Amendments.

Zubiri told Teleradyo on Wednesday, June 1, that none of their members wish to head the committee.

"No other member of ours wishes to head the committee. Wala pong gustong maghead ng committee na ’yan and therefore, kung ’yan po talaga ang adhikain niya, he might shine [in that position]," said Zubiri.

He advised Padilla to study constitutional amendments and revision of laws, and added, that usually, lawyers are the ones who are handling such a committee. However, since Padilla wanted it, he would just have to appeal to Padilla to study well, , as per ABS-CBN's report.

"Let us listen to his arguments, dapat pag-aralan niyang mabuti itong Consti amendments and revision of laws. Remember revision of laws din ’yan so ’yung mga papalitan na batas, ’yung aamyendahan na batas, lalo na sa mga issues on criminal law and other corporate law. Dadaan sa kaniya ’yun" said the senator.

"Actually sa totoo lang, abogado talaga ang humahawak ng committee na ’yan, pero gusto niya eh. Baka magpakita-ng gilas ang ating kaibigan na si Senator Robin Padilla but I have to appeal to him and of course bigyan ko po ng payo at advise, mag-aral nang mabuti. Kailangan mag-aral ka nang mabuti," he added.

Inquirer also reported that the chairmanship of Constitutional Amendments was really requested by Robin Padilla.

Robin Padilla is a famous action star and endorser in the Philippines. He is married to actress-host Mariel Padilla. The actor has two children with Mariel – Isabella and Gabriela. He is also the father of actress Kylie Padilla, the wife of Aljur Abrenica.

Robin Padilla, 52, was recently rushed to the hospital during his family vacation in Spain. According to Robin, he does not have any illnesses which is why it was hard to understand why he suddenly felt weak. In his lengthy post on Facebook, the senator-elect recalled his experience, "Nahihirapan na ako huminga. Bumibigat ang dibdib ko." Eventually, Robin went to the hospital with Mariel Padilla whom he mentioned watched over him.

Mariel Rodriguez, Robin Padilla and their kids Isabela and Gabriela are currently in Spain. The celebrity mom recently posted on social media several travel photos of her family. According to Mariel, the stunning photos were taken in Alhambra. The lovely view of the said destination is also noticeable in their pictures.
