Alice Guo was ordered by the Pasig Regional Trial Court to be transferred from the PNP Custodial Center in Camp Crame to the Pasig City Jail Female Dormitory.
The said order was issued by branch 167 of the Pasig RTC yesterday.
In a report by GMA News Online, it was expected that the transfer would be made Friday night, however, it didn't push through.
“According to [the] PNP, hindi lang po nakumpleto ang lahat ng requirements and nakastandby pa rin po ang BJMP this weekend and anytime kung kailan man po sasabihin nila na ililipat na nila,” said Jail Chief Inspector Jayrex Joseph Bustinera, spokesperson for the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP).

“Sa BJMP kasi, we want to ensure din na di mahahawa ang ibang [persons deprived of liberty] namin sa pagtransfer. Kailangan po talaga na kumpleto ang documents, kailangan po doon yung medical, X-ray niya [and] ECG,” Bustinera added.
Alice Leal Guo was the Mayor of the Municipality of Bamban, Tarlac, and was eventually dismissed. She won as mayor during the national elections in 2022. She became known nationwide after her name was dragged into the ongoing Senate investigations regarding Philippine Offshore Gaming Operations (POGO) and the alleged proliferation of illegal immigrants. Her name has been the subject of many online memes since then.
In a previous report by KAMI, Alice Guo was ordered to be transferred to Pasig City Jail by the Pasig Regional Trial Court. The Pasig RTC branch 167 issued the said order today, September 20, 2024. Guo (and many others) were charged with violation of the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003. Up to this day, she's still being investigated by the Senate and the House of Representatives over her alleged links to the raided POGO hub in Bamban, Tarlac and the truth about her citizenship.
Alice Guo was also personally reprimanded by Senator Joel Villanueva in the ongoing hearing of the Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations and Gender Equality. In an opening statement, Sen. Joel vented out his frustration against Guo for insulting the entire government. He also expressed frustration at the fact that when Guo was apprehended, it seemed to him that Guo did not show any concern. Senator Joel ended his statement by saying that he and his colleagues in the government were offended by Guo.
