- According to ABS-CBN News, Ali Abulaban , known as "Jinnkid," was sentenced on Friday for killing his wife, Ana Abulaban, and her friend, Rayburn Cardenas Barron in 2021

- At the time of shooting, Ali was already estranged from his wife but went to her apartment

- He came to know that a man was with her from a listening device that he installed on the iPad of their daughter

Ali Abulaban, a former TikTok star known as "Jinnkid" on social media was sentenced to life imprisonment on Friday for shooting his Filipino-American wife, Ana Abulaban, and her friend, Rayburn Cardenas Barron, inside her apartment in 2021.

A report on ABS-CBN noted that he would be serving two consecutive terms without the possiblity of parole.

Inquirer reported that the victims were shot on the couch by Ali.

Deputy District Attorney Taren Brast said that Ali was, "so possessive and controlling of Ana that if he could not have her, no one could and she couldn’t live. And any man she was with could not live either. This case was all about power and control until the very end.”

Ali's lawyer sought a conviction for voluntary m*nslaughter to lower the penalties, arguing that Ali already suspected his wife of cheating.
