- A married couple was robbed and stabbed by their "trusted" driver in Cavite

- On Thursday, the couple drove to Cavite to get supplies, where their driver insisted on bringing them to a place with cheaper products

- After stopping at a remote area to relieve himself, the driver proceeded to stabbing the couple and took the P3 million cash that they brought

A trusted driver, Jomar Domingo Tambo, robbed and stabbed a married couple, Marlon and Charie Cantuba, taking away their P3 million and where the wife eventually died from the injuries she sustained.

In "24 Oras," the couple traveled from Candaba, Pampanga to Naic, Cavite with their driver to pick up frozen meat, which they would also be selling.

Reports revealed that Tambo insisted on driving them, and convinced them of a location where they could get cheaper products.

"Siya na raw bahala sa transaksyon, basta sasama lang sila at dala ang pera. Nag-alok siya sa mababang halaga, bilang negosyante, gustong subukan at i-grab ng mag asawa," the cousin of the victims, Jolo, narrated.

He then said that when they arrived at a remote place where the driver relieved himself, it was there that the crime happened.

Marlon was stabbed first, and fell but he got up and tried to save his wife.

However, the wife was badly injured as she was stabbed in the throat.

While she was rushed to the hospital, she eventually died, and her husband is now in a stable condition.
