Videos of the "harmless" asteroid hitting the Philippines early morning on Tuesday have gone viral.
One video, shared by GMA News, showed the actual moment that the asteroid entered the Philippine atmosphere.
It created a momentarily bright moment before disappearing.
As per GMA's report, the European Space Agency said that a small and "harmless" asteroid will be hitting the Earth's atmosphere, particularly in Luzon. However, it emphasized that the asteroid was harmless, approximating its one-meter size.

"The object is harmless," the ESA tweeted on X.
"However the nearby tropical storm Yagi/Enteng will make fireball observations difficult," it added.
It also stated that the asteroid was the 9th that humans ever spotted before impact.
“This is just the ninth asteroid that humankind has ever spotted before impact,” the ESA said.
