The lawyer who notarized the document of former Bamban Mayor Alice Guo insisted that he saw the local chief executive personally on the night of August 14.

“Mag-a-alas-7 po yata yon ng gabi ng August 14, Wednesday. Ni-refer siya ng isang kasama na ang pangalan ay 'Allan', nilapit niya sa akin para magpa-notaryo,” lawyer Elmer Galicia, as reported by ABS-CBN, allegedly said in an interview over DZRH.
In a report by Philstar, it stated that Galicia claims to have seen the former Bamban local chief executive in person and was inside her car at the time.
He also said he even saw the dismissed Bamban Mayor’s proof of identify.

Galicia also said Mayor Guo asked for his help and then gave an indication that having a soft spot for people in need, at that point he felt pity for the dismissed official.
“Bilang nagsilbi ako sa mga mayor ay may paggalang ako sa kanila, hindi ko naman kayang utusan na bumaba ka nga dito... Sabi ko 'mayor', sabi niya sa akin 'Alice na lang po, pasensya na po kayo attorney at wala na po akong malapitan, wala na pong gustong tumulong sakin,” Galicia narrated.
“May soft spot ako sa ganyan. Pakiramdam ko nangangailangan ng tulong itong tao at bakit ko ide-deny, duty ko 'to bilang abogado na mag-represent,” he added.
In a report by the Inquirer, Galicia has vowed to cooperate with authorities in connection the case of Mayor Guo.
Alice Leal Guo is the Mayor of the Municipality of Bamban, Tarlac. She won as mayor during the national elections in 2022. She became known nationwide after her name was dragged into the ongoing Senate investigations regarding Philippine Offshore Gaming Operations or (POGO) and the alleged proliferation of illegal immigrants. Her name has been the subject of many online memes since then.
Alice Guo trended on X after it was stated by Sen. Risa Hontiveros that she has allegedly left the country. The senator said that Guo allegedly left on July 17, noting that she flew to Malaysia and met her family. For Sen. Risa, it seemed that the country was "ginisa sa sariling mantika." Aside from Alice Guo, other trending topics on X include Gerald Santos, Taal Volcano, Jinggoy, Jojo Nones and Sandro.
A couple of hours ago, the Bureau of Immigration has confirmed that Alice Guo is now in Indonesia. According to GMA's report, the dismissed Bamban mayor arrived in the said country almost a month after her alleged departure form the Philippines. The spokesperson of BI, Dana Sandoval, mentioned that Guo allegedly traveled to Malaysia on July 16, and thereafter arrived in Indonesia from Singapore on August 18. The BI is also backtracking on the dismissed mayor's movements.
