News, photos or videos that arouse the interest of netizens would often go viral on social media. These viral posts appeal to the emotions of netizens, and in rare cases, such could also happen to ordinary people.

An example of a viral video was that of a contestant of Eat Bulaga's "Peraphy Express" segment is currently making the rounds on social media. The Peraphy player named Angelito acted strangely amid the game. He suddenly walked towards the cards, put his hand on Anne Ferrer's shoulder, and seemingly struggled with his breathing. Vic Sotto later asked Angelito's friend to play on the latter's behalf while he is being checked by medics.

Another example of a viral video post was an episode from Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho, showing a millionaire from Zamboanga saw her wealth vanish into thin air after losing most of it in an online game. The millionaire, who was identified as Chesca Mendoza, narrated how she lost her millions. According to Chesca, she was addicted to an online game that she didn’t realize she was already losing a huge amount of money. She revealed she would even go for 2 days without sleep while playing the said online game.
