The photos showed the difference, at the time that the floodwaters covered roofs, with only a portion of the roofs visible on the surface.

That was the situation on July 24, at the height of typhoon Carina.

The photo at the right showed the same are with receded waters, but with a very muddy and murky road or paths=.

Truly, the devastation caused by Carina was simply overwhelming.

News, photos or videos that arouse the interest of netizens would often go viral on social media. These viral posts appeal to the emotions of netizens, and in rare cases, such could also happen to ordinary people.

One example of a news gone viral was that of a dog trainer who earned praises from netizens after he made sure that he saves all of the dogs under his care at the height of typhoon Carina. He was training 40 dogs and he made sure to save all of them. The floods in Marikina have already entered the first floor of the dog training school. He brought the dogs one by one to the upper floor to make sure that they will be in safer ground.

In another typhoon Carina related news that went viral, a retired soldier died after he tried to save their home belongings in Pasay City. The soldier was found unresponsive by rescuers and they tried to bring him to a hospital. However, he was later declared dead, as per GMA News. He was trying to move their things away from floodwaters that already reached the first floor of their home.
