They faced each other at the office of Mayor Francis Zamora.

The two shook hands in front of the mayor, and even hugged each other.

According to the report of GMA News, Boy Dila asked for forgiveness from the rider.

He also gave him a raincoat and a helmet.

The photos were shared by the official page of San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora on Facebook.

A portion of the statement of Mayor Zamora said that as regards what happened, may it serve as a lesson to all.

"Nawa'y magsilbing leksyon ito sa ating lahat na parati tayong dapat magbigay ng respeto sa kapwa at huwag tayong gumawa ng anumang bagay na maaaring makasakit sa ibang tao, pisikal man o emosyonal," Mayor Zamora's statement read.

One can recall that Boy Dila became popular after he was caught on video spraying the rider with his water gun.

The “basaan” tradition during Wattah Wattah Festival is part of the celebration of the city’s patron saint, Saint John the Baptist. It is being held every 24th of June.

Recently, Boy Dila whose real name is Lexter Castro, has released a public apology. On his Facebook page on Tuesday, Lexter posted a video addressing the viral incident during the recent Wattah Wattah Festival. According to Lexter, he is stressed by the bashings and threats he has been receiving. He also apologized to the rider he doused with water during the traditional “basaan.”

He also recently made rounds on social media once again after he and his team were seen distributing free food to delivery riders in San Juan City. As per Lexter, he did this as part of his apology to riders who were affected by the fake bookings under his name. While handing out food, some riders even recognized Lexter and asked for photos with him.
