A woman became an instant godmother to a baby she doesn’t even know.
In an interview, the woman, identified as Deetha Hoshi, said that she was attending the baptism of her niece so she could have her picture taken with the newly-baptized infant.
“Nasa binyag po ako ng pamangkin ko noong march 17 para makapag-picture po ako sa kanila,” the Deetha said.
While busying herself with her family, she noticed a two adults with a baby in one area of the church.

“Nakita ko sa simbahan ang isang bata na si Baby Reneboy,” she said.
She then learned that the supposed sponsors for “Baby Reneboy” did not arrive.
“Naawa po kami dahil kahit isang sponsor manlang, walang dumating,” she added.
Without a moment’s hesitation, Deetha, along with her elder sister, volunteered to be the sponsors for baby reneboy.
“Kami na lang ng ate ko ang nag-volunteer na maging ninang at sponsor,” Deetha said.
After the baptismal ceremonies, they immediately parted ways without knowing how to contact each other.
Deetha posted about her experience on social media in the hopes of finding the family and her godson.
Soon, she was able to locate them and immediately went to visit the family bearing gifts, including photos of the baptismal ceremony of Baby Reneboy as the family didn't have any camera or mobile phones to capture the moment.
Posts, such as photos or videos, that arouse the interest of netizens would often go viral on social media. These viral posts appeal to the emotions of netizens, and in rare cases, such could also happen to ordinary people.
An example of heartwarming posts that eventually went viral was that of a fast-food employee who helped an elderly man who was asking for water. Many netizens were touched by her gesture. It was later learned that the family of the elderly man has been looking for him for a long time already. Aside from the help extended by the fast-food employee, the said post paved the way for the elderly man to reunite with his family.
Another example of a post that went viral was that of participants in "It's Showtime's" segment, "Expecially For You." In that particular segment, a searcher that goes by the name of Cheng and her late boyfriend Russell’s love story brought tears to the eyes of many. During the “It’s Showtime” segment’s episode last June 27, Cheng narrated that she started living with his late boyfriend and his loving family when she was 15. However, in 2023, her boyfriend of seven years passed away due to a cardiac arrest. Cheng likewise shared with Vice Ganda and other hosts her realizations after Russell’s sudden demise.
