Dongz Apatan’s sister Leah burst into tears while reacting to the bashings that her late brother gained on social media.

It can be recalled that Dongz made headlines due to his sudden death on June 14. He suffered a stroke after doing a fried chicken mukbang vlog.

In a “24 Oras” report, Leah emotionally recounted how Dongz’s passing was being disrespected on social media.

“Nasasaktan talaga kami na ginagawa siyang katatawanan ng mga tao, na parang walang respeto dahil sa content na kinukuha na hindi tama ang info,” said Leah.

Leah, who admitted that Dongz had high blood pressure, also defended her late brother from harsh comments saying that he deserved to die.

"Kasi  andaming comment na si Manoy lang daw kasi deserve daw mamatay dahil  gahaman sa pagkain, pero content lang naman ‘yan. Hindi talaga malakas  kumain. Hindi rin niya inuubos din. Hindi gahaman si Manoy. Marami siyang natulungan.”

Dongz Apatan is a vlogger from Iligan City who is known for his mukbang content. His Facebook account has over 400,000 followers.

Aside from Dongz, there were other known social media personalities who died recently. Sammy Manese has passed away on November 29. A family member and his best friend confirmed the heartbreaking news on social media. However, they did not disclose the reason behind the internet star’s demise. In his vlogs, it was mentioned that Sammy had a heart disease.
