In response to recent accusations circulating on social media, Rose Manguerra Camilon, the mother of Miss Grand Philippines 2023 contestant Catherine Camilon, took to Facebook to address allegations that her family intentionally concealed information about the missing beauty queen's relationship with a married policeman.

Rose strongly denied the claims, asserting that her family did not inform the authorities about the alleged affair because they were genuinely unaware of it at the time, not as an attempt to hide any secrets. The police officer in question, Major Allan de Castro, faces charges of kidnapping and serious illegal detention, all of which he vehemently denies.
In her Facebook post, Rose emphasized, "HINDI HO NAMIN IDINENY IYAN... NAGTANONG KAYO KUNG MAY ALAM KAMI TUNGKOL SA RELASYON NA IYAN... SUMAGOT KAME NA WALA... DAHIL YUN TALAGA... PERO SINABI NAMIN SA INYO NA NALAMAN NAMIN IYAN NUON NA LAMANG SIYA EH HINAHANAP NA NAMIN... YAN ANG TOTOO!!!"

Miss Grand Philippines contestant Catherine Camilon has been reported missing since October 12. Her sister Chin-Chin Camilon took to Facebook to ask for help in finding the beauty queen-teacher. Chin-Chin also shared an image showing details about her missing sibling, sharing that she is 26 years old, with a height of 5’6.” She then uploaded an image of Catherine’s vehicle and its plate number.
Her sister, Chin-Chin Camilon, expressed her great concern and love for the missing beauty queen and teacher. Chin-Chin also wrote a message to Catherine telling her to come home and surprise their mom, who is celebrating her birthday today. The sister shared last Friday that many people are extremely worried about Catherine since it is unusual for her not to message her family about her whereabouts.
