The video of a husband and wife tandem who are both professional pilots manning the same aircraft in an exclusive report by the Philippine Star has recently gone viral.

For Cello, who functions as the First Officer or co-pilot, said that as soon as the plane starts, they shift mode from husband and wife to pilot and co-pilot.

Luigi and Cello Custodio met while the latter was still training to be a pilot while the former was already one.

According to Luigi who functions as the captain of the plane, when some friends found out that they will be flying the same plane together, they began making jokes as to who should be pilot and who must slide down as co-pilot.

“When people found out na magkakalipad kami, jino-joke nila kami, ‘Oh sino na talaga ‘yung in command dyan?’ ‘Si wife na ba ‘yung in command,” Luigi narrated.

He said while they may be husband and wife, their work comes first.

“Once we enter the cockpit, we’re still husband and wife. Pero what comes first syempre ‘yung work,” Luigi said in an interview with the Philippine Star.

For Cello, who functions as the First Officer or co-pilot, she said that as soon as the plane starts, they shift mode from husband and wife to pilot and co-pilot.

“Kapag kunwari, magsa-start na ‘yung lipad, parang nagshi-shift na kami agad to our roles as pilot. and work mode,” Cello said.
“When we do our welcome speech, inintroduce niya ako as wife. dun sa speech niya,” she added.

Netizens were effusive in their praise for the two, saying that they must have achieved their “couple goals,” with some writing “sana all” comments on the viral video.

As per their viral clip, the broadcasters had a hard time delivering their spiels because they were laughing hard. Their contagious laughter then sent good vibes to their audience and many netizens.
