“The Clash” 2025 grand winner Jong Madaliday could not hold back his tears after watching a touching video message from his mother during his guest appearance on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" on Thursday.

The North Cotabato native shared that it was his mother who convinced him to return to the GMA singing competition.
“Sabi niya sa ‘kin, ‘Sumali ka na. OK lang, matalo ka man o \[manalo], OK lang ‘yan. Gusto kitang makita sa TV,’” Jong recalled.
He admitted he had no intention of joining again due to self-doubt.

“Parang hindi ko na talaga kayang bumirit, para sa sarili ko, kasi ang dami kong doubts sa sarili ko na parang ‘di ko na kaya talaga,” he confessed.
Jong first competed in Season 1 of The Clash in 2018, where he finished as runner-up.
Following his mother’s advice, he returned this year and emerged as the champion.
During the program, Jong was surprised with a video message from his mother, Sandra Madaliday, who expressed her love and reminded him to remain humble.
“Sana ipagpatuloy mo lang ‘yung kabutihan… Laging magpasalamat at tandaan mo, mahal na mahal kita. I love you, Jong,” she said.
Overcome with emotion, Jong thanked his mother and reflected on her unwavering support.
“Thank you kasi nawala kasi ako noong 20, Tito Boy… Siya lang ‘yung nagtiwala talaga sa ‘kin. ‘OK lang ‘yan. Kaya mo ‘yan,’” he said, adding, “Siya ‘yung kumbaga kinakapitan ko sa lahat.”
