Conversely, others argued that in high-pressure live television scenarios, split-second decisions are inevitable. Buboy's interruption might have been an unintentional consequence of trying to keep the show running smoothly.
It can be recalled that Tito, Vic, and Joey left TAPE Inc.’s Eat Bulaga and transferred to TV5 and formed the E.A.T. show due to an ongoing conflict. TVJ were replaced by new hosts including Buboy, Isko, and Paolo Contis.
"Eat Bulaga" is the longest-running noontime variety program on Philippine television. The show premiered on July 30, 1979. Its pioneer hosts include showbiz icons Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon, and Tito Sotto. Tape Inc.'s "Eat Bulaga" recently went back live on air on GMA with its new lineup of hosts, including Paolo Contis, Buboy Villar and Betong Sumaya.
In other news, Isko Moreno and Paolo Contis inked a “long-term” contract with TAPE’s "Eat Bulaga." The contract signing took place on July 8 at APT Studios. TAPE Inc. and Sparkle GMA Artist Center’s executives were present at the contract signing event. Sparkle and Kapuso reporter Nelson Canlas took to its social media pages and shared photos from the event.
Previously, Isko, during his "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" guesting, shared with Boy the words of wisdom he gave to the EB team before they aired last July 1. The former Manila City mayor told them to just enjoy the afternoon and be themselves. He also admitted that they felt so much pressure on that day when TVJ’s “E.A.T.” was launched and “It’s Showtime” started airing on GTV.
