Chito Miranda lectures netizens criticizing fundraising for Gab Chee Kee

Chito Miranda has earned praises from the public for raising funds for the hospital bill of his Parokya ni Edgar bandmate Gab Chee Kee, who was admitted in an ICU because of lymphoma and pneumonia.

However, there were also a few netizens who criticized Chito’s fundraising for Gab, whose hospital bill has ballooned to around P8 million.

One netizen argued that it is supposedly a waste to pay P8 million to the hospital and that they should just give the funds raised to his family.

Chito cried foul over the comment, saying that his friend’s life is worth the money they are trying to raise. The rock star said that such comments are offensive to him and Gab’s friends and family members.

Another netizen bashed Chito for selling vintage Parokya ni Edgar items to raise funds for Gab, saying that those vintage items are useless and that Chito’s “help” is questionable.

Chito then expressed his shock over that comment, saying that he is surprised that someone would think that raising funds for a friend is not a form of help. According to Chito, they have already paid P7 million to the hospital so they are doing all they can to pay the remaining P1 million.

Chito Miranda is a famous music artist known as the frontman of the iconic OPM band Parokya Ni Edgar. He married actress Neri Naig on December 13, 2014 and they have an adorable son named Miggy. In October 2021, Neri gave birth to their second child Manuel Alfonso Miranda, whose nickname is Cash.

As previously reported by KAMI, Chito Miranda was stunned over his wife Neri’s birthday present to him. Neri gifted the Parokya Ni Edgar frontman a brand new Toyota Hilux-Conquest. The celebrity mom took to social media to share a video of Chito reacting to the pickup truck. In the video, the famous musician even took a test drive of his new vehicle.

Meanwhile, Chito Miranda experienced his worst nightmare as the vocalist of Parokya ni Edgar last December 21. He had a vacation in Pico de Loro with his kids and then rushed to EDSA Shangri-La on December 21 to perform. Unfortunately, Chito lost his voice while having a vacation with his children.
