The Filipina actress will compete with international stars such as Angela Bassett ("Black Panther: Wakanda Forever"), Kerry Condon ("The Banshees of Inisherin"), Jamie Lee Curtis ("Everything Everywhere All at Once"), and Carey Mulligan ("She Said").
Her movie was also nominated at the 2023 Golden Globes for Best Picture: Musical or Comedy. Dolly previously won best supporting performer by the Los Angeles Film Critics Association (LAFCA) for the same role.
Dolly De Leon is a Filipina actress who appeared in local movies such as Hintayan ng Langit (2018), Verdict (2019), at Historya ni Ha (2021). She became famous for stealing the spotlight in the international movie “Triangle of Sadness” as Abigail, which earned her a best supporting performer award from the Los Angeles Film Critics Association (LAFCA). For the same role, she also became the first Filipino actor to get a Golden Globes best-supporting actress nomination.
