Agot posted the remarks on X on Monday, August 24, appearing to question the competence and integrity of an individual who had allegedly been entrusted with a substantial amount of public funds.
“Ganyan ba level ng comprehension, competency and integrity ang pinagkakatiwalaan ng half a billion pesos?" Agot's post read.
She followed the statement with another pointed remark:

"Tanga-tangahan ba or totoo na?"
Agot then added:
"Your honor, I’m confused.”
The actress did not identify the person she was referring to in the posts. However, several netizens associated her remarks with Gina Acosta, a former Office of the Vice President special disbursing officer who appeared as a hostile witness during the impeachment proceedings involving Duterte.
Acosta became part of the prosecution's questioning during Monday's continuation of the trial, particularly in discussions surrounding the use and release of confidential funds.
Because Agot did not explicitly name Acosta, the connection remained an interpretation among social media users rather than a direct identification from the actress herself.
Her post nevertheless generated a range of reactions, with some commenters expressing agreement with her apparent criticism while others offered their own views about the proceedings and the individuals involved.
One commenter wrote:
"For someone who has worked for VPS during VPS’s mayor days, she’s knows what she’s doing, dating gawi! She’s pretty smart on evading all the questions. I don’t feel sorry for her. She knows what she’s doing hence kailangan Nya rin managot! Mala Alice Guo ang peg."
Another netizen commented:
"Si Gina Acosta ang future secretary ng Department of Budget and Management pag naging presidente si Inday Sara."
A separate commenter focused on Acosta's reported compensation, saying:
"And to think ang laki ng sahod nya roughly 150k monthly++ …nahiya naman mga naghihirap at patas na lumalaban daily sa buong staffs ni Sara..if that alone doesn’t make one so furious, we are soo doomed as a nation."
Another post alleged:
"Nag bobobobohan lang yan. Obviously merong guilty party part sya doon maliban kay Sara lustay. Napaka obvious naman tanga nalang pag dimo pa na comprehend yung mga ngyayari. Jusko Gigil si ate SDO Deserve makulong kasama ni sara."
The reactions underscore how Agot's brief and unnamed remarks quickly became part of the broader online conversation surrounding the impeachment proceedings.
Agot Isidro is an award-winning Filipino actress, singer, and television host who first gained fame as a hit pop recording artist in the 1990s with iconic songs like "Sa Isip Ko". Over her three-decade career, she established herself as one of the country's premier performers across film, television, and theater, while also becoming a prominent voice in social and political advocacy.
In another report, Agot Isidro took to X after a remark attributed to Marcoleta about not being “balat sibuyas” gained attention online. The actress shared a series of rhetorical questions touching on anger and the way people respond to emotional situations in public. Her post quickly became a topic of discussion, with netizens viewing her words as a pointed response to the circulating statement. The exchange also fueled conversations online about sensitivity, accountability, and how people engage in public discourse.
Meanwhile, Agot Isidro called for the immediate release of CCTV recordings following a shooting incident at the Philippine Senate. The veteran actress raised questions about who was behind the gunfire and considered the possibility that different groups could have been involved. She also questioned the motive behind the incident, including whether the shooting could have been intended to create an opportunity for someone to escape. In a series of posts, Agot ultimately urged those involved to surrender to the authorities.
