Actor Archie Alemania has spoken publicly about the controversy surrounding him and his case involving Kapuso singer-actress Rita Daniela, maintaining that he has never assaulted or touched anyone without consent.

Archie discussed the issue during the latest episode of showbiz insider Ogie Diaz’s vlog on Sunday, August 23. The interview marked his first known interview following the controversy that drew significant public attention.
Part of the discussion focused on Archie’s image among viewers. Ogie pointed out how the actor’s numerous wives in some portrayals, along with his characters in “Bubble Gang,” may have contributed to the public perception of him as someone who is flirtatious or a “manyak.”
Archie said he understands why audiences react strongly to those roles, noting that such reactions can also be seen as a compliment because they indicate that he is effective at portraying his characters.

However, he stressed that the personalities he plays on screen should not be confused with who he is in real life.
“Hindi po ako ‘yon. Trabaho lang po ‘yon,” the actor said.
The conversation then turned more directly toward the controversy involving Rita, who filed a case for Acts of Lasciviousness under Article 336 of the Revised Penal Code against Archie.
Ogie asked the actor whether he was capable of doing what had been attributed to him in the case. Archie firmly denied that he could do such an act.
“Hindi ko kayang gawin ‘yon,” Archie answered.
“Sa tinatagal-tagal ko sa showbiz, sa dinami-dami ng chicks ko, sa dinami-dami ng babae ko, never po akong nangmanyak."
He further emphasized his belief that consent is necessary in any intimate encounter and insisted that he had never violated that boundary.
“Kailangan mutual consent ‘yan, e, para may mangyari sa inyo. Pero never kong ginawa kahit kanino ‘yon, kahit no’ng nambababae ako,” he added.
Archie also made a strong personal assertion about his conduct, saying that he would stand by his claim even if it meant making the strongest possible oath involving his family.
The actor’s remarks come despite the fact that he was found guilty in October 2025 in connection with the case filed by Rita.
