The seminar, conducted at the MTRCB office in Quezon City, formed part of the agency's continuing "Responsableng Paggabay" initiative. Rather than serving as a disciplinary proceeding, the meeting was intended to open communication between regulators and content creators to strengthen their understanding of standards for age-appropriate television programming while respecting creative freedom.

According to the MTRCB, the discussion emphasized the importance of balancing artistic expression with responsible storytelling, particularly for programs that reach a wide audience, including younger viewers.

MTRCB Chairperson and CEO Lala Sotto underscored that the Board's objective is not merely to regulate television programs but also to work alongside producers in developing quality entertainment that remains socially responsible.

“The Board’s goal is to support the television industry in the development of engaging, socially relevant, and world-class programs while being mindful of their impact on viewers, especially children,” said Sotto.

Following the seminar, CCM Film Productions, which produces Sigabo, expressed appreciation for the opportunity to better understand the agency's standards. The company also reiterated its commitment to creating responsible television content while continuing to deliver compelling stories to viewers.

The MTRCB likewise stressed that it remains committed to its mandate of promoting responsible media regulation through cooperation and constructive engagement with producers and content creators. The agency said such initiatives are intended to encourage informed and responsible viewing among Filipino audiences.

Although complaints prompted the compliance seminar, the MTRCB did not announce any penalties or additional sanctions against Sigabo. Instead, the agency described the activity as part of its ongoing efforts to foster dialogue with television producers and encourage programming that balances entertainment value with social responsibility.
