In a powerful face-to-face interview with Karen Davila, the veteran actress looked back on her past marriages and opened up about her co-parenting setups. When Karen asked if her former partners ever gave her a difficult time while she was raising her children, Aiko did not hold back, specifically recalling her past struggles with her ex-husband, Jomari Yllana, back in the day.

"With Jomari, we debated a lot," Aiko recalled. "There was a time where Jomari wouldn't show up for Andre, so I felt bad for Andre and I spoke to him and told him, 'Hey, I have to draw the line. Because you know, I'm not asking for any monetary support, I'm asking you to be a present father,'" the actress told the journalist.

Karen was visibly surprised by the actress's revelation, praising her strength by saying, "Grabe ka ha, you never asked for monetary support from any of the fathers."

For Aiko, surviving those sleepless nights without relying on anyone else is one of her proudest achievements. She takes full ownership of her journey, knowing she built her family's comfortable life through sheer grit and determination as a single mother too.

"Never, that's why there were sleepless nights," Aiko explained. "Kaya nga I'm proud na nobody can credit 'yung success ko and hardships ko but myself and the people around me who cares for me deeply. Kasi through hardwork talaga, Karen eh," she added as well.

Closing the topic, Aiko shared a valuable piece of advice for other parents, emphasizing her lifelong principle when it comes to financial responsibilities in a broken family.

"At sa akin ha, syempre to each his own naman, ang monetary support should be given, should not be asked," Aiko stated firmly. "Yun ang lagi kong prinsipyo sa buhay. Bakit ako hihingi? Dapat binibigay yan kusa," she noted.

The actress-politician stated that there have been no meetings or discussions regarding such a political partnership. She denied any involvement in the creation of tarpaulins circulating online and on the streets. Aiko reaffirmed her full support for Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte, noting she remains focused on serving District 5 which many praised.
