During an appearance on Hot Takes, the actress and content creator discussed her experiences with online validation, public scrutiny, and the challenges of being constantly talked about on social media.

According to Mika, the speculation often resurfaces whenever she becomes less active online or temporarily disappears from social media platforms.
“May mga time kasi na siyempre bigla na lang akong mawawala sa social media, hindi ako nagu-upload ganiyan. Tapos sinasabi nila na buntis na daw ako.”
She added that the rumors have surfaced multiple times over the years.
“Marami eh. Marami [rin] talaga.”
Despite the recurring gossip, Mika said she no longer allows such claims to affect her emotionally.
“Alam [niyo] hindi ko na rin kasi sinasapuso eh kasi kung hindi naman totoo, why do I need to bother myself remembering things that are not true.”
Instead, she revealed that she and her team often find amusement in the stories circulating online.
“Natatawa talaga ako.”
“Natatawa kami [my team]. Tinatawanan namin kapag may rumors kaming nakikita na hindi naman totoo.”
Beyond rumors, Mika also shared her thoughts on online bashing. She believes that criticism does not always come from complete strangers.
“Naniniwala ako na ang mga basher ay hindi man lang mga taong hindi mo kilala.”
“Minsan mga taong nasa tabi mo [ay] gumagawa ng account laban sa'yo.”
She further noted that some individuals may be surprised to learn that people they trust could be behind anonymous attacks.
“May mga ganon.”
“Akala mo kaibigan mo [pero] gumagawa pala ng troll [account].”
While acknowledging the reality of online negativity, Mika emphasized that staying true to herself remains her priority.
She also reflected on the appeal of maintaining some privacy despite living in the public eye.
“There’s something about mystery na talagang hinahanap-hanap ng mga tao kaya you have to put a little bit of mystery sa life mo.”
The interview comes amid continued public interest in her connection with Kapuso actor Will Ashley. Earlier this year, photos from their Bangkok, Thailand trip circulated online and fueled speculation that the pair had officially confirmed a romantic relationship.
However, both Mika and Will denied the assumptions and clarified that the trip was simply a vacation with friends.
“Masaya kasi kasama din namin yung ibang friends namin,” Will said.
“Nagpahinga po talaga,” Mika added.
The two also dismissed claims that their photos were a “hard launch” of a relationship, explaining that they were only participating in a popular social media trend.
Meanwhile, Mika continues to celebrate new milestones in her career, including the recent release of her debut album, Mahika.
