Actor and host Mikael Daez recently gave his followers a heartwarming look into how he and his wife, Miss World 2013 Megan Young, celebrated the birthday week of their adorable son, Leon. The family packed their bags and headed straight to the sunny shores of Shangri-La Boracay for some quality island bonding.

Taking to Instagram, Mikael posted a collection of cheerful photos. In the first snap, the family of three is seen smiling brightly while lounging outdoors, with a backdrop of palm trees and beach umbrellas behind them.

According to Mikael, the trip came with a wonderful surprise discovery about their little boy's preferences.

"Spent Leon’s birthday week in Boracay and we discovered that our baby LOVES to swim!" Mikael shared happily. "Every chance we got, we spent it in the pool," he added.

In a photo overlay, Mikael added that Leon could happily swim "all day," noting that it certainly helped that their resort features such a stunning pool area. Whenever they weren't splashing around in the water, the proud parents kept Leon entertained with different activities, one that Mikael happily shared on social media.

"In between, we would enjoy the adventure zone play place but it was so cute that he loved the island vibes and everything that came with it," Mikael also revealed in his viral online post.

Despite the intense tropical weather, Leon proved to be a very calm and happy vacationer.

"He didn’t mind the heat or humidity and just smiled his way through the trip," Mikael wrote. "Chill lang like mama and dada," the Kapuso actor even noted on his Instagram carousel.

Even when the sunny weather took a brief turn at the end of their vacation, the trio didn't let it ruin their high spirits. Closing his post, Mikael made sure to show his appreciation to their resort hosts for going the extra mile to make their son's milestone feel incredibly special from the moment they arrived in Boracay.

Mikael Daez is a well-known Filipino personality recognized as an actor, model, television host, and vlogger.
