As seen on her Instagram, Anne carried a smiling Dahlia while posing on a crosswalk with the iconic Flatiron Building standing tall behind them.

Anne explained that the trip was a spontaneous decision after spending time in Canada. Because Mother's Day was coming up, she decided to extend her vacation to spend one-on-one time with her daughter.

The pair did not hold back when it came to exploring the city. Anne shared a long list of fun things they checked off their itinerary, including Broadway shows, and even eating dinner together at Le Pavillon.

They also enjoyed the simpler side of New York. In one photo, Anne and Dahlia can be seen sharing a sweet look while sitting on the ground during a sunny picnic. They also took time for classic sightseeing, where Anne gave Dahlia a loving cheek kiss right in front of the Statue of Liberty, with Dahlia even wearing a fun crown.

"Was so nice discovering New York through the eyes now of a child. So yes, we did every touristy thing possible," Anne added, one that many loving and doting mothers related to.

For Anne, the trip wasn't just about the famous sights. It was the little, unstructured moments—like "jumping on hotel beds until late at night"—that truly stayed in her heart.
