Speaking on Today with Jenna & Sheinelle, Isa opened up about how she ended up at the March 14 event, where Harry served as both host and musical guest. The opportunity came through her The Pitt co-star Patrick Ball, who had been invited to SNL for a potential sketch that ultimately did not push through.

“I was with my co-star, Patrick Ball. We were both on Broadway right now, and he got invited to SNL because they wanted him to be in a sketch,” Isa said.

“But it wasn’t able to get approved in time. They were like, ‘do you just want to come?’ And he was like, ‘Can my friend Isa come?’ So, I came.”

Even with Harry Styles present at the party, Isa admitted she had already convinced herself that meeting him was out of the question.

“The whole time, I was like, I’m not going to meet him, obviously,” she shared.

However, the unexpected encounter happened just as she and Patrick were about to leave the event.

“Right then, he was walking through the door. And we were like talking to people he knew,” Isa recalled.

“So he came up, shook our hands twice, and then he walked away.”

The brief interaction was enough to leave Isa completely starstruck.

“Then I hit the splits,” she said.

She added, “The scream that I screamed was really insane. The coat check people were like screaming with me.”

Still overwhelmed, Isa admitted she could barely say anything during the moment.

“I tried to say something, I’m sure,” she said.

Following the encounter, Isa shared her excitement through social media, posting clips that showed her visibly hyped up after the unexpected meeting. Fans quickly related to her reaction, with many saying they would respond the same way if they ever met Harry Styles.
