Veteran actress Sue Prado passed away on April 14, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of powerful performances and storytelling. The sad news was confirmed by her sister, May Shereen, in a heartfelt social media post.
"Our dearest Sue M. Prado has become a constant star in the night sky," she wrote. "Sue brought light in anyone's path throughout her life. A life lived for others, for the craft she nourished and for those who she loved most," she added.
The Cultural Center of the Philippines and the Cinemalaya community also paid tribute to the actress, who was a staple in many acclaimed indie films. They remembered her as a performer who brought remarkable life to the characters she played.

"Her warmth, grace, and kindness will always be remembered by the CCP, Cinemalaya community and Philippine cinema," the official statement read.

Sue Prado was born on May 18, 1981, and throughout her career, she became known for her depth and authenticity on screen. Her passing is a great loss to the industry, but her legacy lives on through the many stories she helped tell.
