During her guest appearance on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda on April 14, alongside Sienna Stevens, Jo looked back on how everything started with a simple challenge. She recalled that acting was never an ambition, even during her childhood.

“'Yung Magpakailanman po talaga 'yung unang nagtiwala sa 'kin a sila 'yung nag-open ng doors para magkaroon ako ng career kasi very stressful day po sa office, inasar ako ng kuya ko na may naghahanap ng little person, page po ng little people, tapos sabi niya, 'Pwede ka sana kaya lang wala ka kasing personality.' So tinake ko na challenge,” Jo said.

After that moment, Jo immediately told her father about her plan to audition. She noted that her father was surprised, as she had never shown interest in acting before.

“Gusto ko lang po ma-try,” she explained.

Jo admitted that when she arrived at the audition venue, she felt out of place among participants who already had acting experience. She even thought she had no chance of getting selected.

Despite her doubts, the opportunity came her way.

“Pero ayun po, binigay ni Lord. Binigay sa 'kin 'yung role,” she shared.

Now, Jo is set to return to Magpakailanman this April 18, where she will portray her own life story. The project marks a meaningful full-circle moment for the actress, as it was the same show that opened the doors to her career.
