Using an everyday analogy, she compared their availability to taxi services, suggesting that some officials become easy to reach only during campaign periods and less responsive at other times.

Her post quickly sparked discussions among netizens about public accountability and accessibility.

She explained: “Yung ibang pulitiko parang mga taxi no? Di ba ang taxi kapag kailangan mo, wala ka makita. Kapag naman hindi mo kailangan, ang dami nila. Ang ibang pulitiko ganon din. Bigla silang nagiging available kapag malapit na eleksyon pero dahil matagal pa 2028 karamihan sa kanila WALANG PARAMDAM AT WALANG REPLY."

According to her, this pattern is something also noticed within the media industry, where certain public figures become significantly more responsive as elections draw near. She pointed out that visibility often increases during campaign periods, making some officials appear more accessible than usual.

“Alam ng mga kasamahan ko ito sa media. Yung iba dyan, biglang nagiging ‘Most Accessible Person of the Year’ lang kapag malapit na ang eleksyon.”

She further noted that re-electionist politicians tend to show a sudden shift in behavior, especially in how quickly they respond to messages and requests. However, she implied that this responsiveness often fades after securing another term in office.

“Lalo na yung mga re-electionist—biglang ang bibilis mag-reply, biglang ang daling tawagin, at biglang ‘open for all questions’ na. Pero pag upo uli, parang naging multo na naman na mahirap mahuli?”

Her post emphasized the importance of consistent accessibility and accountability from public officials regardless of the political season. It resonated with ongoing public conversations about trust, transparency, and long-term service beyond elections..

DJ Chacha, naglabas ng hinaing matapos magbayad ng buwis

Czarina Marie Balba-Guevara, professionally known as DJ Chacha, is a 38-year-old Filipino radio disc jockey, broadcast journalist, and actress who rose to fame as a standout personality on MOR 101.9. She is widely celebrated for her blunt, no-nonsense love advice on the program Heartbeats and for her current role co-anchoring with Ted Failon on Radyo5. She currently works at 105.9 True FM.

In another report, DJ Chacha voiced frustration on social media after promptly paying her taxes, calling out what she perceives as the government’s slow action on major corruption issues. She highlighted the gap between responsible taxpayers and officials who appear less accountable in handling public funds. Her remarks came during the 2026 tax filing season, as many Filipinos track the ongoing flood control controversy, reflecting growing public demand for transparency and proper use of taxpayer money.

Meanwhile, DJ Chacha challenged public servants to forgo their salaries for two to three weeks as a show of solidarity with struggling citizens. She said this would be more meaningful than measures like “no apprehension for violations,” which she believes may encourage lawbreaking. Noting that many politicians are already financially secure, she urged leaders to prove their commitment to service even without pay.
