Lance explained that the lyrics were not directed at any contestant. He said,

“Actually, yung lyrics naman, it was referring to me”

He emphasized that it was unintentional. He also clarified the timing of the performance, saying:

“It's just that, nagkataon lang na yung flow ng program, yung candidates, bababa talaga. And I'm gonna help them na bumaba.”
“I apologize naman sa candidate kung na-offend po kayo. Really sorry, but it really wasn't intentional,” he added.

He further explained that the performance began as a meme and reflected typical Filipino humor seen on social media. Lance said:

“As long as siguro hindi lang ina-attack yung candidate. For the laughs, okay siya. Pero sana lang hindi natin atakihin ng personal.”
