Jodi Sta. Maria reflects on 'long-overdue' reunion with Iza Calzado: "Bitin"

Jodi Sta. Maria and Iza Calzado are proving that their bond is as solid as ever. Earlier, on Instagram, Jodi shared photos of their lovely lunch date and park hangout, and it was clear they had a lot of catching up to do.

After trying to match their busy schedules for a long time, the two actresses finally got the chance to hang out and sit down to talk. In her post, Jodi expressed how comfortable it felt to be around Iza again, saying:

"Still the same laughter, the same comfort, the same feeling of being understood without having to explain everything. Bitin ang isang buong araw sa ating dalawa."

The "date" wasn't just for the two of them however as Iza brought along her adorable daughter, Deia Amihan.

Jodi was clearly smitten by the little one, calling her a "bonus" to their meeting. Aside from this, upon looking at how Iza handles motherhood, Jodi couldn't help but gush for her fellow celebrity momma as well.

"You’re doing such a great job as a mom, my love," she had written on her now-viral post.

The photos showed the two ladies laughing on swings and enjoying a healthy meal together. It was a simple day, but for Jodi, it was exactly what she needed. She eventually ended her sweet post by telling Iza:

"Long overdue but right on time. Love you and grateful for you always," Jodi had written.

Iza Calzado is a Filipino actress and host. She rose to prominence with her role as Amihan in the hit fantasy series Encantadia, followed by major roles in both television and film. She's known for her performances in movies like Sigaw, Milan, Bliss, and Starting Over Again. Beyond her showbiz career, she is recognized for her advocacy work as well. She co-founded the non-profit She Talks Asia, which promotes mental health, body positivity, and women's empowerment. After nearly a decade with GMA, she signed with ABS-CBN in 2012 and has since taken on more diverse roles.

Iza shared that she is learning to be practical as a mother, choosing a small celebration for now.
