“Basically, it’s a compilation of everything that we have released. Gusto namin siyang maging celebration ng milestone namin,” Pablo said. “At the same time, gusto naming sabihin kung ano yung direction na pupunta ng SB19.”
Member Justin pointed out that the group experimented with different genres in the album. He said every new song in this phase introduces something they have not tried before. Justin called the entire collection “very versatile” and “dynamic.”
For this release, SB19 worked with several producers, including international talents. This marks a shift from their earlier works, which were mostly handled by Pablo. The approach allowed them to explore new sounds and collaborations.
Beyond the music, the members also talked about the realities of the industry. Josh Cullen encouraged aspiring artists to take risks even if they feel scared. “If you’re afraid of doing it, still do it. Kasi, you’ll learn along the way,” he said.
Pablo added practical advice for young talents. He stressed the need to understand the business side, especially publishing rights and trademarks. “If you want to fund the art that you’ve been releasing, kailangan nag-e-earn ka from that… mahalaga na alam nila yung publishing, yung trademark nila,” he explained.
Looking forward, SB19 sees itself as part of the change happening in the local music scene. Josh said, “In the next three to five years, everything will change, and we’re very glad that we’re part of it or we are the ones driving it.”
SB19 first rose to fame through their distinct sound and strong fan support from the A’tin. Over the years, the group has released hit songs, held successful tours, and gained recognition both locally and internationally.
