During a press conference for their upcoming film Wonderful Nightmare, Molina shared that she wanted something different for their reception in Bohol on March 1. Instead of following a traditional program, the couple opted for a more playful and energetic introduction.

“Ayaw kasi namin yung boring na program. Gusto namin gawin natin yung mga ganyan. Tapos deretso nang afterparty, kasi birthday ni Jerald din the next day. Parang ayoko pumasok ng normal. mahihiya akong pumasok and kailangan smile-smile for the SDE. Ayoko lang ng ganun,” Molina said.

She clarified that their intention was simply to enjoy their special day.

“Hindi naman namin talaga goal na mag viral. Gusto lang namin yung fun yung wedding,” she added.

Napoles explained that the original concept only involved Alden Richards. However, the idea expanded as they brainstormed further.

“Noong una, ang blocking paglabas ni Alden— Sasabihin ko ‘bakit yan? Umupo ka doon Alden, guest ka’ sabihin ko. Tapos naisip na namin may Gerald [Anderson] din,” Napoles shared.

Eventually, Gerald Anderson and Kim Atienza were also included after a suggestion from Molina’s bridesmaid, making the segment even more entertaining.

Molina recalled that even though Atienza was part of the entourage, he was more than willing to join the act. The couple expressed gratitude for how game their guests were, noting that everyone eagerly participated.

Napoles added that Atienza even suggested adding more playful elements to the skit. “Bigla lang si Kuya Ninong, eh. Bigla lang siyang sinabihan niya. Tapos, nakita niyang si Ge, into it, in character. Sabi ni Kuya Kim sa akin, oh, maghalikan tayo,” he recalled.
