Veteran actress and singer Sharon Cuneta is currently in Singapore undergoing a medical procedure and recovering from a previous treatment. In an Instagram update, she apologized to the public for missing the finale of the singing competition Your Face Sounds Familiar, where she serves as a judge.

“I was thinking if I should let you all know what I’ve been through… Well, I think, yes,” Cuneta wrote.

She explained that her trip to Singapore was not for leisure, but for medical reasons involving her spine. The Megastar has been under pain management for about two years due to persistent pain affecting her right hip and leg.

Cuneta expressed regret that she did not consult a specialist sooner, as her condition required focused care. She underwent a procedure in Singapore that successfully addressed the source of her pain.

“I do feel better, but I am still recovering,” she said.

Reassuring her supporters that the treatment brought relief.

However, the actress noted that further attention is needed for her neck.

“I also need to go back there in a couple of months because all the tests revealed that I also have stuff in my neck I need fixed. C4&5, C5&6,” she shared.

Despite this, she emphasized:

“Don’t stress about it. What’s important is that I am okay, the pain has been dealt with and we got to the root of the problem/s.”

Cuneta thanked her medical team, especially her Filipino nurses at Mt. Elizabeth Medical Center, and her doctor, Dr. Prem Pillay, for their expertise and care. She also expressed sorrow for missing the show’s finals and extended her love to her fans, the Sharonians.

“I tried. I missed, miss, and will greatly miss all of you,” she wrote.
