Breaking his silence on a growing digital controversy, actor and Tarlac Board Member Arron Villaflor has officially referred a case of unauthorized video distribution to the authorities.

In a statement released Tuesday, the public official condemned what he described as a coordinated attempt to violate his privacy and weaponize personal content for malicious purposes.
The issue stems from a series of private videos that began circulating across messaging apps and social media platforms earlier this month.
While Arron had previously dismissed rumors in late February, noting that the clips then were merely snippets from his past professional film projects, he clarified that the latest wave of footage involves a different and much more serious breach of personal security.

"I am formally addressing the unauthorized recording and illegal distribution of private video materials that have been circulating online in recent days," Arron wrote on his official social media account.
He underscored that such actions are not just ethical violations but clear breaches of Republic Act No. 9995, also known as the Anti-Photo and Video Voye*urism Act of 2009.
This law strictly penalizes the recording, copying, or broadcasting of intimate images and videos without the written consent of the individuals involved.
As both a citizen and a public servant, Arron expressed his firm stance against "digital violence."
He noted that no individual deserves to have their dignity compromised through the non-consensual sharing of intimate material.
"The matter has now been formally referred to the authorities for proper investigation," he added, stating that he will refrain from further public comments to respect the ongoing legal process.
The controversy has recently tagged several other high-profile personalities. Fellow actors Nikko and Gil have also addressed similar incidents, with Nikko taking responsibility for his involvement in a separate clip and Gil maintaining that his privacy was violated through a hidden camera.
