Meiko confessed that she never initially wanted to get married because of a "core memory" from her childhood involving her parents' difficult separation and failed annulment.

"At an early age, 5 years old, hanggang ngayon eh core memory siya sa akin kung paanong naghiwalay yung parents ko. Hindi na-grant yung annulment nila eh. Yung mama ko, inuuwi ng lolo ko sa bahay na lasing na lasing, so parang iniisip ko, 'What if ganituhin ka nung taong 'to tapos di ka na makaalis?'"

Despite her fears, Meiko said she eventually agreed to Patrick's proposal because they already had two children and she believed they could "conquer" her fears together. However, that hope was short-lived as she discovered the extent of his infidelity.

"He did it way much worse, in comparison na lang po since dun naman deep-rooted yung trauma ko, yung nangyari sa mama ko and papa ko. Si Pats po kasi, multiple pr*st*tutes and nahuli ko. Feeling ko, ang ginawa niya sakin, yung utmost disrespect eh. Baboy. Kababuyan. Ganun. Sobrang dami pong nangyari na hindi ko na nailabas sa social media na halos ikamatay ko. Akala ko po talaga ikamamatay ko siya."

The conversation also touched on the lack of accountability in their relationship. Meiko recalled how Patrick would blame her for his own life choices, such as staying in the Philippines while his family was in the U.S.

"Kasalanan ko lahat, kahit po nung nabuntis niya ako kay Albion, na dapat aalis na siya papuntang US kasi yung family niya po nasa US, sabi niya sakin eh kasalanan ko raw dahil ako ang pinili niya. Aba maraming salamat ah, kasi buntis ako sa anak mo, kasalanan ko pa ba na pinili mo ko over US?"
