The veteran comedian revealed he had longed to have a child for a long time. He searched for the perfect partner but never found one until now. He described his current non-showbiz partner as his true soulmate. Their son Kiko arrived as a surprise in 2022, when Smokey was already 51. He called it a “welcome accident” that brought complete happiness and satisfaction to his life.

The conversation turned deeper when the topic shifted to Kiko’s diagnosis. The little boy is on the autism spectrum, which makes parenting more challenging. Still, the actor finds joy in every step forward. He noticed how typical parents sometimes overlook tiny achievements, but for him, those moments carry huge weight.
The star shared honestly, “My son is diagnosed with autism. He's in the spectrum and it's tough, pero every milestone — alam mo, napapansin ko nga na ibang tao, they take for granted 'yung maliliit na mga bagay na nagagawa ng anak. Pero for a parent who has a kid who's on the spectrum, the small things mean a lot.”

He continued with emotion, “Tapos it's very emotional for me to talk about it pero I really, really love my kid, kahit ano pa siya.”
