Kapuso couple Derrick Monasterio and Elle Villanueva became visibly emotional after exchanging personal promises during their recent appearance on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.

The two were asked what commitments they wanted to make to each other at this stage of their relationship. Elle initially joked that it felt like they were getting married inside the studio because of the seriousness of their vows.

Derrick spoke first and expressed his commitment to their future.

“My promise to you, love, is I’m gonna be a good provider, I’m gonna treat you the way you’re supposed to be treated, and hindi ko kakalimutan ‘yung value mo kung paano ka pinalaki,” he said.

Elle followed with her own heartfelt message.

“Ako naman, promise ko sa ‘yo, forever kitang mamahalin, forever kitang iintindihin at aalagaan, hindi kita papabayaan,” she said.

The emotional exchange moved both actors to tears. Reflecting on their journey,

Derrick said, “Nakaka-touch lang kasi finally, sa tagal, sa dami ng dumaan sa akin, parang, at least, nahanap ko na and ang swerte ko talaga.”

Looking ahead, Derrick shared that he sees marriage in their future within five years. However, Elle clarified that while she may be at the right age, she is not yet ready to have a child.

“’Yun ‘yung pressure sa babae, ‘yung age, ‘yung timeline, to get pregnant. But then, I would think it’s hard nowadays,” she said.

She added, “Takot akong mag-raise ng bata considering na gan’to ‘yung gobyerno, ang political side natin, iba, so ‘yun lang naman ‘yung iniisip ko kung bakit heistant pa ‘ko.”
