Actress Angel Aquino renewed her call for acceptance and inclusivity, speaking candidly about issues still faced by members of the LGBT community. In a report by One PH, the seasoned actress questioned why discrimination continues despite changing times.

“Anong oras na? Anong taon na? Diba?” Aquino said

She expressed disbelief that some people remain closed-minded up to this day. Open about being part of the community, she underscored the importance of empathy and freedom.

“Let's all have open minds and open hearts,” Aquino urged.

She stressed that love transcends labels and social constructs.

“Love is love and in the end it's all that matters,” she added.

According to the actress, love is not confined by gender but rooted in mutual respect between two individuals.

“There's really no gender when it comes to love it's really just two people, two spirits, two souls who have that reverence and ano for each other,” she explained.

She then posed a pointed question to critics:

“So bakit hindi natin pagbigyan 'yon 'diba? Bakit kailangan natin silang pigilan? Kun 'yon ang nararamdaman nila?”

Aquino further noted that those in loving relationships do not cause harm to others. She suggested that pain often stems from society’s refusal to understand.

“If anything, tayo yung nagco-cause ng pain sa kanila kasi hindi natin sila pinapayagan, Hindi natin sila naiintindihan, Pero, siguro mas magiging malaya sila kun papalayain natin sila. So, yeah let's be inclusive” she said.

Beyond social issues, Aquino also spoke warmly about working with her co-stars, commending their professionalism and dedication. She described them as passionate artists who support one another in every scene.
