Veteran host and actress Donita Rose turned emotional after revisiting the former studio of Umagang Kay Ganda at ABS-CBN, recalling the years she spent greeting Filipino viewers at dawn.

In a video posted on February 18, Donita was seen walking past the old studio while her husband, Felson Palad, filmed the moment.

“I just realized this was the studio for Umagang Kay Ganda before. Ay nalungkot ako…It looks smaller now, I don’t know why. Sad. Na-miss ko lahat,” she said.

The actress reflected on how the show shaped her routine for four and a half years.

“That was four and a half years of my life rin. Every single day, Monday to Friday. I would wake up at 2:45 every morning. If we were in location in the province, it’s like midnight. Parang call center agent ‘yung lifestyle ko noon eh,” she shared.

In her caption, Donita admitted feeling sentimental about the changes that happened after the pandemic.

“Yesterday at @abscbn I couldn’t help but feel a mix of nostalgia and sadness reflecting on the many changes that have unfolded since the pandemic,” she wrote.

She also described her hosting stint as a “dream come true.”

“Every day was more than just work. It was an adventure filled with endless bonding creativity and joy,” she said.

She added that live television remains close to her heart.

The following day, Donita surprised viewers of It’s Showtime as she cheered for Felson during his performance of “One Hundred Ways,” originally popularized by James Ingram. He earned a score of 90.3 but later fell short in the Regional Finals.

When asked about her support,

Donita responded, “Go kaagad, kasi alam ko na this is a top singing competition dito sa Pilipinas and I know you guys are my friends and I know that judgment will be different based on him alone, but I just feel confident that what matters most is pangarap niya ito at nandito ako para sumuporta.”

Donita Rose is a former actress and popular MTV Asia VJ who successfully built a meaningful life both inside and outside the entertainment industry. She has a son, Joshua Paul, from her previous marriage. After some time, she found love again and married gospel singer Felson Palad. Donita is the eldest child of American father William Kent Cavett and Filipina mother Evelyn Ramos, who hails from Pangasinan, embracing both cultures while growing up.

In separate news, Donita Rose was seen in the February 19 episode of It’s Showtime as she supported her husband during his performance in the program’s popular singing segment. The veteran TV host stayed in the audience, cheering him on from her seat. Her appearance created a touching moment on the show, with many viewers quickly noticing her presence.
