Kapuso actor Ruru Madrid could not hide his admiration for girlfriend Bianca Umali following her intense fight scenes in Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre.

In a report aired on 24 Oras Weekend, Ruru shared how much hard work went into Bianca’s confrontation scene as Terra against Gargan.

“Saksi ako sa kung gaano kahirap 'yung pagbuo nitong Gargan-Terra fight scene,” he said.

He revealed that the action-packed sequence required extensive planning and coordination behind the scenes.

According to Ruru, the preparation lasted for weeks.

“Actually, it's a month of preparation,” he stated, emphasizing the commitment involved in perfecting the choreography and execution.

He added that Bianca personally coordinated with the creative team to ensure the scene would be delivered effectively.

“Talagang siya 'yung pumunta kina Direk Enzo (Williams), Ms. Suzette (Doctolero), Direk Rico (Gutierrez), para lang maiayos 'yung magiging fight scene,” he shared. He also acknowledged the contribution of the stunt team in bringing the sequence to life.

Ruru further praised Bianca’s dedication to her craft.

“Pagka pinapanood mo si Bianca, you'll see how dedicated she is and kung gaano niya kamahal 'yung ginagawa niya,” he said.

Beyond the screen, the couple shares a passion for Filipino Martial Arts. Both train in Laraw Kali Pamuok in Laguna, with Ruru focusing on the more physical Panuntukan while Bianca retrains in balisong techniques for self-defense.

Ruru underscored the cultural significance of their training.

“Ang dami kong na-discover na mga art na puwede rin nating ma-i-apply sa kung ano 'yung ginagawa ko sa telebisyon or sa pelikula,” he said. He also stressed the importance of cultural preservation. “Malaking bagay din ‘to sa mga kababaihang Pilipino to protect ourselves, ‘di ba? Matutunan natin, lalo na sa panahon ngayon,” he added.

Ruru Madrid is a Filipino actor, singer, and model who rose to prominence through his work in GMA Network dramas. He first entered the spotlight as a finalist on Protégé: The Battle for the Big Artista Break in 2012. From there, he steadily built his career, eventually landing lead roles in several television projects, including the fantasy-adventure hit Lolong, where he portrayed the titular character. Off-screen, he is in a relationship with actress Bianca Umali, and their partnership continues to draw strong support from fans.

He shared that the elaborate scene took approximately two weeks to complete.
