In a recent vlog, Candy candidly shared how her son has been processing the loss of his grandmother. She revealed that Quentin’s behavior shifted noticeably just a day after the burial.
"Bigla siyang naging helpful. Kahit nandito sa bahay, tumutulong siya. Parang inaalagaan niya ako ngayon. Basta mas naging extra caring si Quentin... This is the day after namin ilibing si Mama," says Candy.
She explained that beyond being more attentive, she sensed something deeper in her child’s actions. "This is how Quentin is. Maliban sa pansin kong extra caring siya, there's something different about Quentin. This is Quentin trying to cope up. Slowly ina-assimilate niya kung anong nangyari," she shares.

Candy also showed clips of Quentin speaking to photos of his grandmother. She said her son spent the morning talking to the pictures and even asked her to tell his grandmother to "Go home na."
In another touching moment, Quentin greeted the framed photo, saying,
"Hi! Nini. Hello! How are you? Good luck!"
When asked where his grandmother is now, Quentin answered, "Sa heaven."
The actress also looked back on Quentin’s behavior during the wake.
"Well, napansin namin nung wake si Quentin mas hyper, takbo siya nang takbo, parang agitated siya, uneasy, tapos overwhelmed siya kasi maraming tao, pero at the same time napansin namin na mas hyper talaga siya, at saka mas bulol siya," she recalls.
Candy further shared that when Quentin first saw his grandmother in the hospital, he held her leg and pleaded,
"Wake up, Nini! Wake up!"
Through it all, Candy continues to witness her son’s quiet and heartfelt way of coping with grief.
